Cosmetology is the study of the art and science of beautifying and improving the skin, nails, and hair and the study of cosmetics and their application.
Graduates of this course will have acquired the knowledge and skills to be successful in the cosmetology field and pass the TDLR State Board Exams. Upon licensure, employment can be obtained in a number of beauty related industries. The career opportunities for licensed cosmetologists are many, such as a product advisor for a variety of beauty products, platform artists, work for television studios, and some continue on to become an instructor in the field. Many choose to become business owners, such as owning their own salon or other beauty related business.

Financial aid eligibility is limited by the cost of attendance for the student’s program of study. As required by law, the cost of attendance includes both institutional charges, such as tuition and fees, and institutionally determined expense allowances for living costs, transportation, and other allowable expenses. These expense allowances do not represent fees assessed to students by the institution. The only fees for which students are liable are the tuition and other fees outlined in the Victoria Beauty & Barber College Enrollment/Agreement Contract. These estimated expense allowances are ONLY used for compliance and financial aid eligibility purposes.
